As well as historical visits, excellent food, wines and restaurants, the region is known to be the "Cradle of France" - the real France. There are good quality local produce markets in most towns and villages, and plenty of annual fairs, festivals and concerts in the most unusual places throughout the area.

Go to nearby weekly markets, brocantes, visit local farms and buy local cheeses, nut oil, mushrooms, seasonal fruit and vegetables grown in the region (asparagus, strawberries, melons).
Unusual and unique attraction parcs
Discover the Loire Châteaux in a hot air balloon, go back to medieval times and experience the incredible Puy du Fou Medieval show, with real actors and knight battles, visit the ecoparc zoo at Doué-La-Fontaine, and go to the high-tech futuristic amusement park Futuroscope.
